Is there an opportunity to pursue further study post completion of the qualifications?

By completing the Diploma of Sport and Diploma of Leadership and Management (SIS50321 / BSB50420) as part of the Brisbane Broncos and TAFE Queensland partnership, students will have access to a nationally-recognised suite of diploma-to-degree pathways.

In addition to receiving guaranteed entry to university, graduates will also receive up to one year of credit for a degree in some of Australia’s leading universities including the Bachelor of Sport Development, Bachelor of Sport Management and Bachelor of Business with a major on Sport Management.

Choosing a diploma-degree pathway means that graduates are academically well prepared for bachelor study and have the work skills and experience to start their dream career in a shorter time frame.

What activities outside of the curriculum will I be participating in as part of the program?

  • 100 hours of work-based placement within the Brisbane Broncos.

  • Exposure to Brisbane Broncos football operations, fan engagement, membership operations, community engagement, marketing and media communications, events, clinics and more.

The next intake is scheduled to commence in January 2024.

At the completion of the course, a minimum of two graduates will be considered for employment by the Brisbane Broncos. What kind of roles will they be / which department or capacity? Do students have to apply, or are key students just offered the roles?

There will be a formal application and interview process to fill these roles but participation in this will be limited to the students participating in the course.

The specific roles available for graduates will depend on a number of factors, including (but not limited to):

  • Demand from Brisbane Broncos for roles and responsibilities at the time of recruitment

  • The capability of students demonstrated across the course

  • The interest / preferences of students to be involved in various departments across the Brisbane Broncos organisation

  • Relationships built between student and Brisbane Broncos staff across the duration of the course
