Meet Rachel
Having worked in aged care for the past six years, Rachel Robins was ready for a career change. Like many people considering a return to study, Rachel had doubts. Was it too late? Could she step back into a classroom? Would it actually lead to a job? What followed was a journey that changed her career, strengthened her belief in herself, and opened doors she never thought possible…
A Student Success Story
The program’s work-integrated learning placed Rachel at the heart of the action. From NRLW game days and corporate events to industry masterclasses and networking with club leaders, each experience built practical skills that translated into real opportunities, allowing Rachel to secure a part-time role with the Brisbane Broncos membership team.
Now working inside the club, Rachel reflects on what helped her succeed: being open to opportunity, backing herself, and leading with kindness. Her advice to anyone thinking about a career change is simple — you’re never too old to study, and it’s never too late to start.
