The session provided students with a hands-on introduction to coaching, starting with core fundamentals before moving onto the field to put their learning into practice.
The immersive experience gave students a rare opportunity to learn directly from one of rugby league’s most respected development figures.
Dyer, who has been with the Brisbane Broncos for more than 20 years, brings extensive experience across coaching and game development.
He guided the Broncos NRLW team to its inaugural Premiership in 2018 and coached the Australian Jillaroos to victory at the 2013 Women’s Rugby League World Cup.
BBSBI Education Program Lead Lochlan McArthur said opportunities like this showcase the unique value of the program.
“Paul Dyer’s coaching session with our students is always a major highlight in the SBI calendar,” McArthur said.
"Not only are students learning key lessons from someone who plays a vital role in the growth and development of the Broncos NRLW program, they also gain unique insight into junior development and the importance of working closely with players, coaches and staff."
